At Istoria Interior Design, every project begins with listening. We believe the best interiors grow out of genuine collaboration—your story, your lifestyle, and your vision paired with our creativity and expertise. Our process is designed to make the journey clear, enjoyable, and rewarding from start to finish.

Phase 1: Discovery

This is where we get to know each other. From the first inquiry and initial meeting to conversations about scope, budget, and goals, we take the time to understand your vision and how you live. Once we align on the details and sign a contract, we secure your spot with a retainer and begin the exciting journey ahead.

Phase 2: Concept Development

With your design questionnaire and inspiration images in hand, we craft mood and inspiration boards that capture the heart of your project. We then present these concepts and gather your feedback, setting the stage for a collaborative project kickoff with the full team—architects, builders, trades, and beyond.

Phase 3: Design Development

Here’s where the vision takes shape. We dive into sourcing, sampling, and measuring, translating ideas into detailed plans, elevations, and curated finish and furniture boards. Together, we refine the design through presentations and thoughtful revisions until it feels just right.

Phase 4: Implementation

Once the design is finalized, we bring it to life. From ordering and coordinating with contractors to job site visits and careful oversight, we handle the details and logistics that keep the project moving smoothly. Every piece is inspected and accounted for to ensure quality and cohesion.

Phase 5: Installation

The most rewarding phase—installation. Orders are delivered, furniture is placed, and the finishing touches are styled to perfection. We walk the space together, create a punch list if needed, and resolve every detail so that your home feels complete, personal, and ready to be lived in.
